They say most authors draw on their own experiences when they write and I couldn’t agree more. My entire life had been influenced by the past and led to a passion for making antique-style lace. The more I researched this wonderful fabric, the more I was fascinated by the life and times of the people who wore it - men and women who lived and loved through difficult and exciting times of high adventure and terrible heartache.
Short of being able to develop a time machine, I decided to do the next best thing. I wanted to imagine a possible time in someone’s life and take my readers along for the journey. To know what it is like to be lost and alone in a time when women were only worth as much as their husbands’ status. To be preyed upon by opportunists, yet have the strength of character to persevere in adversity. To have hope, feel joy and revel in the giddy thrills of infatuation we all felt when we first laid eyes on our own true love.
I hope you enjoy your visit here and invite you to leave any feedback. I’d love to hear from you.
Warmest Regards,
